- Travel to Asheville is a scenic drive of 45 minutes to an hour. However, there is so much to do there… shopping, dining, entertainment, and many attractions.
- Biltmore Estate is a grand place to tour any time of the year; the Christmas season is spectacular! Plan to spend a full day roaming through this 250-room “castle” situated on more than 8000 acres.
- The Blue Ridge Parkway offers a picturesque self-guided driving tour through several states with entry and exit points in Asheville, Waynesville and Maggie Valley; great to view the leaves changing in October!
- About an hour south of Mountain Valley Cabins is the Cherokee Indian Reservation & Casino. Experience Native American lifestyle on the reservation; check out the museum and shops or try your luck in the casino!
